Grace De La Hunt is a beautiful, feisty singer-songwriter and acoustic guitarist who just released her debut single entitled ’Jellyfish’, an alternative pop-hit that effortlessly distorts genre boundaries and gives listeners a glimpse of the mesmerizing obscure elegance she personifies.
Not one to care much about what others think of her, Grace is all about the music, wanting to break free of the any and all auditory and optical restraints.
2015 saw Grace become a semifinalist on local talent-show SA’s Got Talent with the previous year earning her accolades such as being crowned the winner of the Marshall Music Singer-Songwriter Competition.
2016 was another busy year for the funky songstress as she was chosen to open for Mariah Carey’s Sweet Fantasy tour in Cape Town. During the same year, she also made it to the Blind Auditions on The Voice South Africa.
‘Jellyfish’ was released on 16 August 2017 under the banner of Rockstar Records, an independent record label owned by none other than South African singing sensation, Daniel Baron.
Baron, who recently released his third studio album, had the following to say: “I’ve been releasing music under my own label for over 7 years now. When Grace came along, I knew it was time to directly assist a fellow musician to break into the market and achieve the chart success that she deserves.”
If her debut single is anything to go by, Grace De La Hunt has a very rewarding future ahead of her. ‘Jellyfish’ is now available for download on Apple Music and iTunes.
