He wasn’t the only one interested in navigating it, however. Even in a novella I expect something more than, “I shouldn’t be attracted to her but I am. This story of secret star-crossed lovers may feel a little familiar at times, but it is quite charmingly done. Still, they laxy sympathetic and one cannot helping rooting for them.
I loved the Julia Quinn and Karen Hawkins novellas. I have several prospective brides in mind for you. I’m not up to writing a full review – I’ve been feeling very lazy lately, must be the holiday season, LOL – so I’ll just make a few comments for my own record: At times, references to the other couples can feel forced, but the authors are largely successful in piecing their hilarious and sometimes touching stories together into a delightful romantic quilt.
I rarely encounter a set of parents that will do everything in their but power to keep their unwed daughter out of an eligible gentleman’s way just because he’s ‘scandalous’ I like the brilliant way the couple dealt with this predicament.
